Edward J. DeMarco, Jr., Esq. is the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of The Risk Management Association, a not-for-profit professional association headquartered in Philadelphia. Mr. DeMarco leads RMA’s Operational Risk and ERM practices, as well as RMA’s publishing business and RMA’s Model Validation Consortium.
Prior to joining RMA, he was a partner with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP in Philadelphia, PA and was Co-Chairman of the Corporate Department of Mesirov Gelman Jaffe Cramer & Jamieson, LLP.
He received a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University and his J.D. from Saint Louis University, where he served as Articles Editor of the Saint Louis University Law Journal.
Mr. DeMarco served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia from 2015 through 2018 and as Chair of the Board of Directors of Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, NJ from 2008-2009 and as a Board member from 2006 through 2009.
He has been interviewed on topics such as cyber security and third party risk management by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, The Economist, American Banker and Bank Director.
